Senior Leasing Representative
Brooke has been an ExperienceMaker® for six years since joining NAP’s leasing team in 2017, and currently serves as a senior leasing representative, leading the merchandising of Avalon, Avenue East Cobb, Colony Square and The Forum Peachtree Corners. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Brooke received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbus State University prior to pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, sparking her passion for the retail industry and launching a new career path.
While at NAP, Brooke has secured deals with several best-in-class brands such as Allbirds, Evereve, Lilly Pulitzer, Sweetgreen and Warby Parker just to name a few. She is active in ICSC and CREW, and outside of work, Brooke enjoys cooking, strolling the Atlanta BeltLine with her family and gardening (a new hobby!).
What career advice would you offer to women just getting started in the male-dominated leasing industry?
Men have always dominated the C-suite and leadership roles within commercial real estate. However, things are changing as more women enter the industry from asset management to development. Leasing has continued to evolve over the years and I’m doing more and more deals with other females. I find this encouraging and women in this industry tend to naturally lift each other up and help contribute to each other’s success. There may be a boys’ club but there’s an unspoken girls’ club that I’m anxious to see grow as more women enter the chat. I would encourage a female just getting started to be curious (ask ALL the questions), trust your gut, and set new standards. Just because business was done a certain way 10 years ago doesn’t mean it’s acceptable today.
